The First Day Of A New Year... 2011

Images Above and Below cribbed from E-Bay-Binky LaFaye

So, how did you start out this first day of a New Year?  Did you begin to look afresh for the beauty and Blessings that are in your life... was your Path free of obstacles or trial... or as the sign in the 1st picture indicates, did you have a bad day in progress and so it wasn't as you'd Hoped your first day of 2011 should or would be... and so it was rather difficult to focus on the positives?  I doubt that most people wake up on any given day, whether it is the first day of a New Year or well into an existing year, and plan for it to go South and be lousy.   And so when it does, as sometimes happens as Life unfolds, and there is trouble in Paradise, it can be discouraging, disheartening and even downright depressing.   I wish I could say that every day will be rosy and delightful and it's nice to imagine at the start of a fresh New Year that it will be... but you and I both know that sometimes it isn't and we have to deal with that unfortunate reality at times and choose how we will react and respond.  But I do believe that each day is full of Promise.  I've had those years in the past that were quite challenging and yet somehow we got through it... and looking back I realize that having Hope, Faith and believing that each day is full of Promise gave us the momentum to keep moving and looking forward and envisioning a bright future... regardless of what the past or the present might have held that might have spoken otherwise.   I resolved to keep my Posts and my Blog uplifting and positive when I began this Journey... a Sanctuary of sorts that I and others might rest in for a time during the day and receive beautiful images, inspiration, encouraging words and random musings of a Bohemian Life and the passions that stir me. My intention is to continue with that lofty vision.  But I also realize that on any given day there are those that are struggling, suffering, hanging on and trying not to give up, give in or give out during their Journey... because certainly I've been THERE too at times my Friends, and do find myself there even on days when the Posts don't reveal it... and so I definitely have a point of reference and a great deal of empathy.   So... if you ever feel a heavy burden, on this day of the first day of a New Year or on ANY day, may this still be a place you can find rest, restoration, inspiration and encouragement during the difficult times as well... and share your Heart if you want or need to... because that's what Friends are for and in unity we can overcome so much more than we can alone...
